Captain Lewis Residence

The Captain Lewis Residence is an assisted living/residential care facility which occupies a beautifully renovated and expanded sea captain's home overlooking the Kennebec River. The Residence is actually the heart of a three building"senior community" complex, offereing a wide range of affordable senior housing and health care options.

The Captain Lewis Residence combines the "best of both worlds": Modern health care in a "bed and breakfast" atmosphere. We're also large enough to provide the amenities of a large health care facility (a well structured senior activities program, in house beauty shop, an excellent staff-to-resident ratio, etc...) with the individual attention and care of a small owner-operated home.

We offer a wide variety of single and semi-private bedrooms on both the first and second floors of the Residence. We recently completed a major expansion of our Residence and have upgraded our furniture and significantly expanded the "common areas" for our resident's enjoyment. The home now enjoys three living rooms, two sun rooms, an activity room/theater room, a beauty shop, a dining room, and a gorgeous front porch overlooking the wiater with rockers and wicker furniture.

Residential care rates are approximately $75-$100/day (negotiable) depending on room location and care needs. Respiet/short tem rates are $100/day; and a few boarding care rooms are available for $1500/mos.
